TV2 KidsFest continues to grow

With every year that passes, TV2 KidsFest continues to grow. This year's major attractions are no exception, Dog's Day Out in association with Hills Science Diet, The Breeze Barnyard Bash and Animal Magic all guaranteed to keep the kids entertained for hours.

Nick Tansley and friends are the hosts Dog's Day Out and will bring a laugh-a-minute programme with all sorts of fun; all you have to do is bring YOUR dog.

On the day (Saturday, 8 July), there will be competitions such as naughtiest dog, barkiest dog as well as a dog and owner look-alike contest. There will also be dog demonstrations by The Working Dogs.

Dog registration is through a gold coin donation; all proceeds go to the SPCA.

The Breeze Barnyard Bashaims to give city kids an insight into country life by bringing a full array of farm animals to town. Kids will be able to check out miniature horses, goats, sheep, kune kune pigs, chooks, rabbits, guinea pigs and dogs.

As well, the day will be accompanied by the music of Johnny Possum's Good Time Hootin' Band.

Animal Magic is a new event to TV2 KidsFest and features famous Wellington magician Nigel Kennedy. Kids can come along and be amazed by his incredible animal magic, create their own magic tricks to wow family and friends and even join in with Jump Jam Kidz Aerobix.
