Plenty on at Pioneer Leisure Centre

Pioneer Leisure Centre has a lot more to offer than you would think. In 1999 it was transformed into a modern recreation and aquatic facility and now features a leisure pool with a wave machine, a spa, a sauna and steam room, and a separate 25m five-lane lap pool.

Its fitness centre is well equipped with a wide range of cardio and weight gear and an aerobic studio. There are also two squash courts available for hire and a large indoor sports stadium that can cater for sports training, major competitions and large display or trade show events.

Pioneer Leisure Centre also has a host of other services, including the Pioneer Early Learning Centre, Swim Shop and stadium court hire as well as being home to the Sportsmed Medical Centre and Canterbury Volleyball.

Each term, Pioneer offers a fantastic variety of popular exercise and recreation classes, designed for all ages -- from babies to adults. Options include pre-school gymnastics, jazz dance, Swimsmart (learn to swim), basketball, gymnastics, aquafit, aerobics, Pilates, yoga and much more.

Look out for Argentine Tango and Fit for Youth, Rhythmic Gymnastics classes starting in Term 3, 2006.
