Eaton Development Centre Opening

Good afternoon. I am delighted to have the opportunity to be with you today to celebrate the opening of this facility. It’s always pleasing when a global company, like Eatons, invests in our city.

Canterbury as a region is on the up. In March the value of exports was the highest ever recorded. Our annual average growth in this area was up 13.6% to the year ended March 2006.
