A Plastic Peace Launch
Sunday 6 July 2003
A garden of goodness.
Showing us all how beauty can come from the
stuff we all too easily throw away.
Showing us older folk how children
value peace and beauty.
Understand 25 schools have sent 1000 flowers.
Peace is our greatest
asset, the garden in which our children can bloom to their full
potential.
Not the case everywhere. Later this year going to Hiroshima
where they dropped the atomic bomb at the end of World War Two.
I
want to take one of these flowers to Hiroshima to put in their
peace garden as an offering for world peace from the children
of Christchurch.
Think it was a great idea of Henry’s to move
from gnomes to peace for this event.
Peace and preserving our planet’s
resources are both hugely valuable lessons for us all, young and
not so young.
