Kids Congress ‘wonderful’
Mayor Garry Moore and deputy mayor Carole Evans were overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of the young people attending last month’s KidsCongress at the Antarctic Centre.
Aranui Primary School was the host school for KidsCongress which this year attracted 274 students from throughout the South Island.
The educational event brings pupils and teachers together to solve a range of theme based projects using digital technologies and multimedia.
“It was such an inspiration to see children passing on their knowledge to other children,” Carole Evans says. “Everyone there was so keen to learn and be involved. The Aranui children certainly deserve a pat on the back for the role they played as hosts. It was a wonderful event to be part of.” |
