Have your say about QEII Park

Whether you remember the 1974 Commonwealth Games, grew up visiting the fun park, or today make use of the sports facilities or open spaces, QEII Park holds a special place in the hearts of most Christchurch people.

The Park, owned by Christchurch City Council on behalf of the city, is one of New Zealand’s leading sport and leisure venues, housing Australasia’s largest aquatic facility and the 20,000-seat athletics stadium used for the Commonwealth Games and many major sports and music events over the last three decades.

How do you think the Council should manage the development of QEII Park over the next 10 years? The proposed QEII Park concept plan is designed to protect the character of the Park as it changes over coming years, and Christchurch City Council wants your comments and suggestions to help ensure that the future direction of the Park is both effective and sustainable.
