OSCAR scheme arrives at Linwood Primary School

HAGLEY-FERRYMEAD COMMUNITY

Out of School Care and Recreation has arrived at Linwood Avenue Primary School. Children may attend between 3pm and 5.30pm every weekday.

They can take part in games, crafts, sports, music, swimming and cooking.

OSCAR is more than activities and fun for children.

It offers peace of mind to parents and caregivers and relieves the pressures they face.

Some parents may be working, studying, in training or they may be sick.

Whatever the reasons parents are not at home, primary school- aged children have the chance to go to a home-way from-home at Linwood OSCAR.

The intention is that they learn the same social, recreational skills as they may at home.

Heathcote-Ferrymead Community Board is offering financial help for a holiday programme, with outings and activities, the first week of the April holidays, from 9am to 5.30pm.
