Walking brochures
If you're into walking, pick up a copy of Christchurch City Council's updated walking brochure - Christchurch Walking Groups - which now lists 60 groups operating in the city, with something for all fitness levels, from beginners to experienced walkers.
There is also a new 24-page booklet, Heathcote River Walks, that features eight routes, including a longer walk following the Heathcote River from Beckenham to the Estuary. It costs $2 and is the pilot for a possible series of similar publications about walks in different areas of the city. Copies are available from your local CCC service centre.
