Long-term plan work
Alongside the public consultation in the next month about the upcoming annual plan, the City Council has also begun a process to engage interest groups and the wider public in a review of its Long-Term Council Community Plan.
The new version of this document will cover the period from 2006-2016.
Pamphlets about this process are being distributed through community groups and by Council staff to organisations and people operating in or interested in the following sectors - disability, young people, older people, sport and recreation and the environment.
As well, there are online submission forms available at www.ccc.govt.nz/LTCCP/CommunityOutcomes
Further public consultation will happen in May, with a series of public meetings now being planned.
