Free Skate Jam at beach
Skate Jam is on at New Brighton's Thompson Park, Marine Parade, on Saturday 16 April 1-4pm.
This free community event is aimed at 10 to 14-year-olds - an afternoon of skating and blading action.
Have a go boarding or blading on the quarter pipe, or pick up some tips as the Cheapskates demo team members work their moves and give free advice and coaching.
DJ CoMotion and 91ZM will provide the sounds and there's a free sausage sizzle and give-aways too.
If it's wet, the Skate Jam cancellation will run on 91ZM.
Skate Jam is organised by the City Council and its Burwood/Pegasus Community Board, with support from Cheapskates and East Side Surf, Skate & Snow.
