There’s a library near you . . .

Complementary to the Canterbury Public Library network are 12 neighbourhood libraries staffed entirely by volunteers.

The Council assists these libraries with funding for buying books and maintenance and provides book exchanges from the Canterbury Public Library outreach and special needs service.

The neighbourhood libraries provide a wide range of reading for adults and at some, for children too. General, romances, mysteries, westerns, large prints, sound books, paperbacks, non-fiction and magazines are some of the options that may be available.
