Youth soccer event wins Sister Cities Air New Zealand 2000 award Christchurch’s Kurashiki and Songpa-Gu sister city committees, supported by the Council, have been awarded ‘‘ Best Youth or Education Project’’ in the Sister Cities Air New Zealand Awards 2000. The award was presented at the New Zealand Sister Cities convention in Timaru last month. It included $2500 of Air New Zealand travel. The winning entry was for a sister cities youth soccer tournament last year, when Christchurch hosted under-17 representative teams from Kurashiki, Japan and Songpa-Gu, Korea. |
