Refuse Station hours
From Sunday 3 October until daylight saving finishes, the Council’s three refuse stations will be open on weekdays from 7am to 4.30pm and at weekends from 8.30am to 5pm.
Helping people enjoy leisure
A new card offering discounts for people with disabilities at more than 50 Canterbury facilities and attractions is now available. An initiative of the Council’s Leisure Unit, the card reduces the cost of participating in leisure activities.
Applications forms are available from all Council offices including libraries and service centres; the Christchurch branches of ACC and CCS; Parafed Canterbury and the IHC main office.

Payment counter closes
Christchurch City Council payments for rates, parking infringements and parking coupons at the Southpower 218 Manchester Street office will stop from Friday 17 September. Southpower is closing its payment and inquiry counter there so payments will have to be made at other agencies or by other methods.
