Looking inside your crate
The City Council is keen to highlight to residents that plastic containers suitable for recycling, such as milk bottles, can be squashed before being put out in recycling crates. It also wishes to remind people to remove lids and rinse all recyclable containers before placing them in their crates. |
TV2 KidsFest the biggest yet
It’s back and it’s bigger than ever. The city’s annual winter school holiday festival TV2 KidsFest runs from 3-16 July with fun, games and activities for children up to 12 years of age. Thirty of the events this year are free. |

How grown up is Christchurch?
Is it a toddler, a youngster, a stroppy teen, an adult, or an oldster?
My own pick is that, as a city, we are somewhere in the transition stages between the late teens and early maturity.

Dealing with our wastewater
