Garden City image boosted
A partnership of elected members and people with
horticultural expertise has been set up by the City
Council to revitalise the vision for the Garden City. The
primary aim of the new Garden City Advisory
Subcommittee is to celebrate, develop and promote
Christchurch as the world’s best Garden City. It will also
provide a platform for communication between the
Council and the public about the vision for its future. Councillor Carole Anderton chairs the subcommittee,
which she says was brought together to remind people
that gardening and open green spaces are vital aspects of
our local culture. |
