A series of questions about City Council stadiums and convention and entertainment facilities shows a rising proportion of those questioned appreciate these venues, a trend that has been steadily rising since 1998.

This year, more than 60 per cent of the people surveyed say they went to a City Council stadium in the last year, with Jade Stadium and the WestpacTrust Sport and Entertainment Centre being the most popular. Of those who had used the Council facilities, about 70% say they are satisfied or very satisfied with the experience. A similar question about stadiums has been asked for only two years, and this year’s survey shows the proportion of people who are very satisfied has about doubled.

Nine out of 10 people surveyed say they are well satisfied with their access to leisure and recreation opportunities in the city.
