Big upswing in kerbside recycling

Kerbside Recycling continues to prove to be an investment that ratepayers thoroughly approve of, according to the recent annual City Council Citizens Survey.

There has been an increase of more than 2500 tonnes of recyclables collected and delivered to the Recovered Materials Foundation as the third operational year draws to a close.

In the light of that, residents, who regularly exceed the capacity of one crate, will soon receive an extra crate from Onyx recycling trucks. Residents will not have to ask for the extra crates — they will be simply dropped off with a note of appreciation from the Kerbside Campaign.

The City Council, the RMF and Onyx congratulate the city’s citizens for their support of the recycling programme.

NB: Don’t ring and ask for an extra crate — your weekly enthusiastic practice will be enough for the truckies to notice.
