Some big costs looming
Some big costs are looming in the 2004-5 financial year
These will include:
- The $12 million dumping costs at the new Transwaste landfill site in North Canterbury.
- Full operating costs for the new $39 million Christchurch Art Gallery on Worcester Boulevard
- And for the Bromley treatment station that is undergoing a $60 million upgrading of the plant.
A warning is given in the annual plan that these big operating costs could lead to a sharp rise in rates in 2004-5.
