Have your say on budget Each year the Council asks residents to say what they think of the level of service, any new services and also about the level of rates to be set for the coming financial year. To do this a survey form is included in the supplement. The Council wants to know your views. Also, there is a separate consultation form about the money derived from the Council’s Orion company. Residents are asked for their views on the plans for the use of this money. Under this plan $75 million will go into a long-term fund for economic and civic developments and $100 will go towards paying off long-term debt. Residents may also make a submission on the draft plan, a copy of which can be obtained by ringing 941 8888 or by visiting http://www.ccc.govt.nz
