Why I Love Christchurch

Jan Rogers, community development worker,Caring community cottages, organisations and neighbours
History, Treaty of Waitangi — some progress — Ngai Tahu settlement
Rivers flowing freely, fishermen, Botanic Gardens natural beauty
Initiatives - employment schemes - Council housing - waterway planting
Summertimes fireworks, music, Sweet Suburbia fun
Tears of compassion, volunteer empathy, working together
Celebrations, festival of romance, Kidsfest, Give it a Go
Helpful people, taxi drivers, hospitality workers, social service agencies
Unique physical situation, beaches hills mountains
Rustle of leaves, seasons, colour of autumn, blossom of spring
Co-operation between all people so that there is
Hope that every citizen may participate and belong in the city.
