Put a big red ring around 28 October. That’s the start of this year’s Neighbourhood Week, running until 3 November.

Neighbourhood support groups, community committees and other groups who routinely have end of year get- togethers should mark those dates down now.

And if you’re not involved in any of these organisations — don’t worry. Neighbourhood

Week is still all about you. It is about why you are the key to building a friendlier, safer neighbourhood for you and your family.

Community Boards are supporting Neighbourhood Week and over the next few months you will hear more about it.
