Multi-sensory unit wins

The City Council’s Southern Centre multi-sensory experience at QEII Park has been commended by the NZ Recreation Association. Providing inclusive and accessible recreation and leisure experiences for children and adults, the centre empowers visitors to make choices, develop their imagination and creativity, relax and have fun.

It uses innovative lighting and sound effects, has objects to touch, and fun interactive equipment with colourful switch controls that are dynamic and easy to operate. It is open 9am-4pm on weekdays. To make a booking or for more information about the facility, look online at www.southerncentre.com. You can also call 941 7117 or email southern.centre@ccc.govt.nz
