Great response to plan
The Council has had a huge response from the public to its draft waste management plan. With a week to go before submissions closed more than 2000 responses had been received. “The feedback from residents has been fantastic,” says Council’s Waste Planner, Tony Moore. “It shows what an important issue this is for the city and how it affects every household.”
Hearings to consider written and verbal submissions will be held at Civic Offices, Tuam Street on Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 December. The preferred option will be considered by Council on 20 December. If adopted, it will be put in the Council’s Draft Long Term Community Plan, along with other services, activities and proposals, where it will be open to the public to make further submissions next year.
