Charity Cricket

The Council-supported 15th annual Charity Cricket and Gala Day for Cystic Fibrosis will be held at Hagley Oval on Sunday 15 January. It features the Canterbury Crusaders rugby union team, complete with the Super 12 trophy and the Ranfurly Shield, playing a 40-over cricket match against an Invitation XI of high-profile sportspeople.

Paul Sharplin entertains from 10am, the cricket starts at 11am, there is a Kick for Coke rugby goalkicking competition for all ages at 11.30am, donkey rides, a celebrity auction of sports memorabilia at 1.30pm, competitions and great prizes, and food and refreshments to suit all tastes. Admission is free.
