Art for children

At the Christchurch Art Gallery these holidays there are plenty of free activities for family groups and children aged 4-11 years.

Open daily until 28 May, the Gallery’s Ape to Zip exhibition is a light-hearted art alphabet adventure designed to captivate the young and the young at heart.

The latest Gallery Holiday Quiz for the Christmas school holidays is Line Dance, with new drawing activities for children. Available daily from 9-29 January, this fun quiz introduces children to the many skills associated with making and looking at art.
