Final days for Gold Crate nominations

There is still time to nominate any good recyclers you know in Christchurch City or Waimakariri District for a gold recycling crate. But, you’ll need to be quick — nominations close on Friday 23 April.

The Gold Crate campaign, designed to thank those recyclers who regularly put out the right, clean material for collection, had 2400 gold crates to distribute during February, March and April. Each week households are selected from the nominations received and a gold crate delivered to them.

So far about 1200 crates have been delivered to recyclers from the more than 1800 nominations, which were received during the first two months of the campaign.

Nominations can be made until Friday 23 April by phoning 941 8830 or emailing waste@ccc.govt.nz or filling in a nomination form at any Council service centre in Christchurch City or Waimakariri District.
