Cultural diversity celebrated
This year’s Culture Galore event, held in early March at Ray Blank Park, attracted record numbers. Fifty-three groups from 38 different cultures participated in the event, entertaining crowds of more than 5000. Community Recreation Advisor Jacqui Leask says the day was a celebration of cultural diversity in our community. “It’s a chance for people to experience international cultures without leaving Christchurch.
