Splash into summer The Council's three summer pools have opened for the season. Sockburn Pool,Waltham Lido Pool and Halswell Aquatic Centre are open from 11am daily. They are great family venues, offering hours of fun and entertainment. "This year's Summer Splash Events are set to be a blast, with each pool having a number of Fun Pool Times every week," says Kylie Crabbe, summer pool co-ordinator. "The Toddlers Christmas Party and the Tip Top Christmas Pool Party will be big hits, with Father Christmas, face painting, DJ's, games and spot prizes."
