Multi-sensory opening 1 Sept

A multi-sensory environment for people with disability, the Southern Centre QEII Park, will be officially opened by Deputy Mayor Lesley Keast on 1 September.

Funding for the Centre started with Turning Point 2000 and was carried on by the City Council Leisure Unit. Money for the centre’s staffing has been provided in the Council's Annual Plan. "We now have a world-class facility that offers a wide range of recreation and leisure experiences for people with profound and multiple disabilities," says centre coordinator Sarah Kelly.
