Libraries add colour

Library Week this year is from 11-17 August and the theme is Libraries Add Colour. The idea is to show that libraries are an integral part of many people's lives, and that what people get from libraries enriches and can bring a sense of excitement and fulfilment. A key event of the week is a mass reading of The Kuia and the Spider/ Te Kuia me te pungawerewere, by Patricia Grace. Christchurch City Libraries is taking part and nine libraries will simultaneously hold the reading on Tuesday 12 August at 10.30am.
