Christchurch city scenes for faraway friends

A new range of postcards has been produced by Christchurch City Council's City Promotions. The set of four features city icons and local activities, such as mountain biking, the bustling Christchurch Arts Centre, the Cathedral and Chalice. The postcards have a Garden City flavour, says Promotion Coordinator Lisa Hoffman. "Residents and visitors alike enjoy the city's parks and gardens so it’s important for these to be featured in this and other city promotional material."

The postcards are to be supplied to visiting delegations and are also available free to locals to send to friends and family living away from Christchurch. A second set of postcards, designed by NatColl Design Technology student Victoria Mackay, will be released at the end of the year.

  • The postcards are available from the Council Civic Offices, service centres and libraries, or email christchurch@ccc.govt.nz
