The City Council’s twice yearly free Sport and Recreation Guide has been judged a winner by the NZ Recreation Association.

At its industry awards, the association decided the guide was the country’s top programme for entries with a budget under $40,000.

The guide, sponsored this summer by Mizone, aims to provide up-todate and useful sport and recreation information.

“Hopefully this national recognition will help to achieve our ultimate aim of encouraging more people to get active,” says project coordinator Chris Wallace.
