TV2 KidsFest here soon

Only days remain until the start of the 10-year celebration of TV2 KidsFest.

The two weeks of TV2 KidsFest will be packed with events, including a wide variety of theatre performances to keep kids of all ages — and their parents — fascinated.

Pirates will be seen at the Black Friday Pirate Party in Cathedral Square. Children can make and play an instrument at Brass for Kids, and enter the world of colour with Colour Magic.

Coppelia is one of the world’s favourite ballets, and Fairytale Theatre features the three well-known stories, The Three Little Pigs, Snow White and The Frog Prince. At the free TelstraSaturn Fairytale Ball children will be encouraged to dress in costume.

Junk Jam will create a percussion spectacular, and the fishy and comic adventures of a little boy will be portrayed in Norvin and the Shark.

The life of percussionist Evelyn Glennie will be bought to the stage in Playing From the Heart, and everyone’s favourite postman returns in Postman Pat’s Happy Days.
