Art work from old books An artwork created from old books has been created at the Linwood Community Arts Centre. Called Subscribers Only, the work, under the direction of sculptor Lauren Lysaght, will be on display in the gallery until the end of this month. It started with the idea of recreating the library that used to be in the building. Residents of the district worked on the artwork in much the same way as the community created a wooden sculpture earlier with Lauren Lysaght. The wooden work created a lot of attention and it provided people of the community with empowerment. . |
