Vision For Heart Of The City

The long-term vision for the central city is to create a vibrant, safe, exciting and sustainable heart for Christchurch.

The centre must have a strong and healthy economy, environment, culture and society.

Also, the objectives include the enhancement and promotion of the central city (within the four avenues) as a centre of community, culture, commerce, education, and to celebrate environmental excellence and sustainability.

The Central City Mayoral Forum wants to ensure that the central city is a great place to live, work, play, shop, socialise, invest, visit and learn.
