Hey kids! Enter the No Time to Waste competition and be in to win an environmentally friendly scooter.
Christchurch year seven to 10 students have the chance to win an environmentally-friendly (and trendy!) scooter in a competition.

The competition is part of the No Time to Waste campaign, aimed at reducing waste to Canterbury's landfills. It puts students' creative talents to the test, as well as their knowledge of the regional waste issues.

Entries must be submitted on audiotape and should be accompanied by a one-page explanation of the entry, which must be based one of four themes:
  • No time to Waste
  • Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
  • It's not somebody else's problem
  • Why the region needs a landfill Schools have been given kits containing background information, a resource poster and a competition poster. First prize includes a scooter and $250 for the student's school library. There are also four consolation prizes of scooters.
Send entries to: No Time to Waste, PO Box 2930, Christchurch, by 31 October.

More details can be obtained from the No Time to Waste website: www.christchurch.org.nz/landfill
