Notice boards with local information

Residents in the Hagley-Ferrymead Community Board area can keep in touch with events by using the new community notice boards.

One is outside the Linwood Library and it has been erected to give community groups a vehicle to post community information for residents.

The Linwood Forum took the idea to the Hagley-Ferrymead Advocacy Team.

It is not intended for advertisements, lost and found, or garage sales but for genuine community information, such as meetings and matters of importance and interest to the community.

The library has the key to the notice board.

Five Boards
This is one of five boards being funded by the Hagley-Ferrymead Community Board and erected in the Hagley and Ferrymead wards.

Others have been placed in the Woolston shopping area and outside the Phillipstown Community Centre.

The other two boards will be placed in Sumner Village and in the Heathcote Valley by the end of this month.
