Rubbish bag coupons delivered

Coupons for the 2006 allocation of official black rubbish bags were sent to Christchurch ratepayers earlier this week. They are redeemable for one pack of 26 bags per allocation. The allocation number is on the reverse side of the coupon. For most residents it will be 1.

Coupons can be exchanged at:

  • Supermarkets until 11 June 2006 (if the allocation number is 1). Look at the front of the coupon for the logos of participating supermarkets.
  • Council service centres until 30 April 2007 for all coupons/allocations. (Landlords with an allocation number greater than 20 can either collect their bags from 11am to 3pm, Monday to Friday until 11 June at the Linwood Service Centre car park at 180 Smith Street or ring 941 8666 to arrange an alternative collection).

Keep your coupon safe until you collect your bags.

Coupons are sent to ratepayers. Landlords must either provide their tenants with 26 bags (free) or forward the coupon to the tenant or property manager.

Extra official Council rubbish bags can be bought from service centres and participating supermarkets; look out for the red label and Council logo.

Residents in Banks Peninsula will have their bags delivered to them in June and July.

  • Any questions? Call our rubbish and recycling hotline on 941 8666.
