Rooting out weevil

Mark McNeill from AgResearch at Lincoln presents the next Science in the City lecture. He will speak about dealing with a new Canterbury pest called clover root weevil. It has come from overseas and could significantly hurt farming. Another import, an Irish parasite wasp, may be the natural answer.

Science in the City is a free series of lunchtime lectures brought to you by Our City O-Tautahi and the Canterbury branch of the Royal Society. Bring your lunch and learn more about scientific issues. Mr McNeill’s free lecture is on Wednesday, 30 August from 1.10-1.50pm at Our City O-Tautahi, on the corner of Oxford Terrace and Worcester Boulevard.
