Resource efficiency awards a first for CCC

Christchurch City Council will be presenting resource efficiency and waste reduction awards for the first time on 11 May.

The series of merit awards recognises continuous development as businesses journey toward sustainability.

The awards, judged by long-time environmental consultant Martin Ward, have criteria that cover systems, people and technology. “I’m pleased to judge businesses on these criteria” says Mr Ward. “From good systems and leadership will arise motivated and creative people, and from these come innovation and technological change,” he says.

Organisations from local operations of international corporations to small-medium enterprises, from construction companies to printers and processing plants have entered the awards.
