Plan receives 313 submissions

The Council received 313 submissions on its draft community plan – Our Community Plan Christchurch O-Tautahi – during the five-week consultation period, which closed on 6 May.

A preliminary analysis of submissions shows that the top categories people have given feedback on are: city streets (roads, lighting etc); finances, rates and Council spending; major projects including the Civic Offices and a flatwater facility; waste disposal and recycling and community outcomes.

Between now and 30 June, councillors will consider all submissions received, and oral submissions will be heard from 1-11 June. The Council will meet to adopt the final community plan on Wednesday 30 June.
