Mid-winter celebration planned for older folk

Older folk living in Richmond, Avonside and eastern inner-city areas are invited to spend the day on a special mid-winter celebration involving a tour of six local venues, with a programme of interesting activities.

From 10am to 3pm on Tuesday 29 June, participants (those over 65 years of age) can enjoy free food, friendship, entertainment and learning opportunities.

During the day, community vans will provide free transport between venues on a regular basis.

Programmes are available from the City Council’s Linwood Service Centre, the Civic Offices and participating community venues.
