International basketball bounces into city

Christchurch City Council is pleased to announce the return of international basketball to the city.

Basketball NZ has confirmed that the Tall Blacks will take on the Australian Boomers in a three-test series as a part of preparation for the Athens Olympics, with one match to be staged in Christchurch on 10 July.

The Tall Blacks finished fourth in its last international competition and the Australians have finished fourth in the last two Olympics, ensuring the match will be a spectacle for basketball followers.
