City Council has finalised an Annual Plan and budget for 2003/04.
It carries a lower-than-predicted over all rates increase of

Public
comment is sought on a proposed plan for the north-west corner
of the Square, between Worcester Street and Colombo Street. |
Further
investigation of Beatty Street
Following
on from the consultation undertaken with Jellicoe Street
residents, the Council has decided to look more closely into
Beatty Street as a possible route for the pipeline between
the wastewater treatment plant and the ocean.

Library
readys for opening
Mayor
Garry Moore will officially open the new South Christchurch
Library and Service Centre, on the corner of Hunter Terrace
and Colombo Street, at 10am on Saturday, 23 August.
