Ethnic employment gets a boost from CDC A first meeting has been held for local ethnic community leaders to discuss the Canterbury Development Corporation's (CDC) ethnic community employment advocacy project. The project will dedicate 15 ACE (adult community employment) positions to employ representatives of the ethnic communities to work as employment advocates. Their role will be to work in their own community to assist people into work, increase the connectivity of their employment networks and feed grassroots information back to the CDC about their communities job requirements. The response from the community leaders was positive.
