Fun at summer pools

A fun season of events and games is planned for Christchurch’s three summer pools.

The fun gets underway with the ever popular Pre Schoolers’ Christmas Party, featuring a children’s show, a visit from Father Christmas, face painting and fantastic give-aways. The party’s being held from noon - 2pm; at Halswell Pool on Tuesday 4 December; Waltham Pool on Wednesday 5 December; and at Sockburn Pool on Thursday 6 December.

Event organiser Kylie Crabbe believes the "Tip Top Christmas Party" will be a huge success and a must for primary school children to get into the holiday spirit. The party’s being held from 2pm-4pm; at Halswell Pool on Thursday December 20; at Waltham Pool on Friday December 21; and at Sockburn Pool on Saturday December 22.

Get-Set-Go is a jam-packed two hours from 2pm-4pm where children get to combat giant pool inflatables or play some funky games, along with loads of crazy give-aways.

Treasure Island is an exciting new game where children are invited to head down to their local summer pool and test their skills at retrieving sunken treasure, and fend off attacks from pirates!

A DJ and mad give-aways will also be on offer! All good fun me hearties!

For more information on events at the Summer Pools phone 372-2840 to receive a brochure.
