Kapuatohe open day judged a success

The open day at Kapuatohe Reserve (pictured right) was a success.

It was a beautiful, sunny day and about 200 Belfast residents attended.

They looked around the old school master’s house, crofter’s cottage, as well as the Belfast Museum that is on the reserve.

There were a variety of stalls and entertainment available, including face painting, pony rides for the children, and of course Jill Toogood’s Jazz Quartet.

Many sat with a cup of tea and a scone or sausage while listening to mellow Jazz tones in the lovely garden setting.

It was said to be a delicious way to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon.

The Kapuatohe Reserve Management Committee thanks all those who took part in this event, especially the stallholders and the Christchurch residents who attended and made it worthwhile.
