Views on environment sought

The Ministry of the Environment and the City Council are seeking community views on the progress New Zealand is making with its key environmental problems.

The "Rio+10" community programme, launched in April, asks what environmental issues matter to the public and what needs to be done in future.

Diverse Opinion
Rio+10 national co-ordinator Lesley Woudberg says the aim is to hear from as many individuals and organisations as possible and not just those usually identified with the environment.

To get a Rio+10 response form and a starter kit, contact the ministry at:
04 917 7493,
fax: 04 917 7523,
email: rio@mfe.govt.nz or
the response form is at: www.mfe.govt.nz/new/rio.htm
