Orbiter service to go east

Hagley-Ferrymead News From 4 November the Orbiter bus service will be extended to the east of the city. The green bus service already runs from the Princess Margaret Hospital, Cashmere, to Northlands in the north through western suburbs. The easterly route is being introduced following requests by a number of people and it, too, will start from the hospital.

It will travel to Eastgate shopping centre where a bus interchange will be installed with improved shelters, information and better pedestrian crossings. Other buses will use the interchange. The Orbiter will then make its way to Northlands calling at The Palms shopping centre on the way. The city’s bus exchange at The Crossing will open for all services on 20 November.
