Info centre for park visitors An information centre in Bottle Lake Forest Park will offer information to park visitors seven days a week. City Council park rangers have built the two-room building in partnership with Fraemohs Homes and the Lotteries Commission. It will display maps and information about recreation opportunities, the forestry operation and the history of Bottle Lake. The centre will be open during the day and while it will be closed at night, some information will be on display boards outside. About 400,000 people visit the park each year - many to walk, run, mountain bike and horse ride in the forest. The centre's deck is made from macrocarpa trees felled in Thompson Park and South Brighton Domain. |
